More What Not To Do

Here's another example of what not to do. If you see the puck floating through the air, don't try and knock it down with your face.

Kodiaks New Season Begins

Kodiaks LogoThe Kodiaks started the Fall Season at Lakeshore a few weeks ago. Although still winless, be assured that Captain Andy is making those kinds of captainly decisions to secure that first victory.

There has been a high turnover in personnel over this season and the summer "quick season", so a struggle to start is not unexpected. Rest assured the team will get back on track, and start posting those W's.

Since the schedule has been in flux, I will try to post game times as soon as I get the most up to date sheet. Until then, please depend on Andy for emails regarding your game times.

Strap Tragedy New Season Begins!

Strap TragedyThe Fall Season of Strap Tragedy Hockey has begun at Lakeshore Ice Arena. We've got a few new members, and welcomed back some of the old.

Eric Sullivan and his friend Brent Copeland (I think), have joined the team new this year. We expect great things from both of them.

One of our alumni Mark Kinslow has returned to the team as well. Joe Mayernik has not returned, and the Happy Hungarian Imre Knausz is taking this season off, hopefully he will return soon. Dave Sullivan is off pursuing loftier goals and he and Jeff Henchen shall both be missed.

Sam "The Mangler" Mingolleli is splitting time with Phil LaPietra, and hopefully will show up for one the games soon. So far, Phil is definitely his better half.

The new schedule will be up soon, all I have now is game times and dates. And I will have results up soon. In case you are just dying to know, we've lost all games so far.

New Schedules Are Up

The New schedules are up for both Strap Tragedy and Kodiaks Hockey Teams. The Kodiaks schedule will be changing once seeding is completed next week (I've been told). The Strap Tragedy schedule is good for another few weeks before seeding begins.

Both seasons go far into Christmas Holiday time, so we'll have to see what our attendance ends up with for the playoffs. Should be interesting!

Andy Coaches Kodiaks to First Win of the Season!

Coach AndyIt finally happened! The Kodiaks were able to piece together their first win! And its all thanks to Andy's expert tutelage. See Andy saw the problem, and he didn't just sit back, he did something about it. Because he's a doer, not a whiner.

With his new game plan in hand, Andy showed up to Wednesday Night's game against bitter rivals the Beavers. He would put two veteran Kodiaks, all-star defense person Tracy Powell and Sam "The Mangler" Mingolelli on a powerful front line with himself at center. "Just feed me the pucks" he said, "and you won't get put back onto defense".

Obviously poor Mike Muller wasn't listening to this advice, because after he banged in an Andy LaPietra rebound, he all but sealed his defensive fate for next weeks game.

Coach Andy led his line with two goals and an assist as the Kodiaks powered their way to a 4 - 3 victory. Additional goals came from the aforementioned Mike Muller (soon to be defense man), and a break away by John.

After the game Andy was heard to remark, "How many goals did I, have tonight, me? Did I score two? Yes, I scored two. And I had an assist. I could have I had a me hat trick, if Muller hadn't put the rebound in before I could I get to it. Me, me me me...".
