Ouch... Now That's A Tragedy...

A True Tragedy...Strap Tragedy has had their share of success and failure so far this season. The second game of the season saw Strap Tragedy pick up its first win at Lakeshore. Strap Tragedy topped our old ESL rivals the Blades by a score of 9 to 3.

The top line of Pat Keenan, Don Stauffer, and Dave Eschmann dominated play throughout the night. Pat Keenan and Dave Eschmann each scored 2 goals, while center Don Stauffer added one of his own. Matt Glanville ripped a point shot over the goalies shoulder for a score, and almost took Zim's head off. Zim would eventually score one of his own in the third period. Congratulations to Matt on his first goal as a member of Strap Tragedy. After the game, the team retired to the bar to watch the Bills get creamed by the Miami Dolphins.

Strap Tragedy was not as lucky in their third game of the season, losing a 1-7 decision to the Beavers. The lone goal was scored by Sully in the first period. Special thanks to Allan Grasley for todays image.

Captain Andy Scores First Kodiaks Goal.

Kodiaks FalterUnfortunately the Kodiaks lost their first two games. On their first game of the season, Captain Andy LaPietra scored the Kodiaks only goal in a 1 to 5 loss to the MDS team.

The Kodiaks played hard. Ray didn't get much goal support but played well, and kept most of the pucks out of the net.

The Kodiaks lost thier second game of the season in a close 3-2 contest against the Baird Road Pub team. Baird Road didn't appear to be your standard "D League Team", but what do I know, I'm not running the league.

The Kodiaks play the Avalanche on Wednesday, October 1st.
