It's the last thing we all thought we'd hear. After weeks and weeks of shouting "Not tonight LaPietra!", "Come back to the bench LaPietra!", "Pick up your stick LaPietra!", "Skate LaPietra!", "Shoot the puck..." ohh wait, nobody said that one. Andy LaPietra
scored two goals in the Kodiaks rout of the Cheetah Wheelies
Sunday. Wait, let me just pause and read that one again....
Two goals. No, couldn't be. But it did happen... |

The Kodiaks lost a close decision to the Demons on Sunday Night. The Kodiaks played a good game, its just we only showed up for some of the second period and a little of the third. Tracy Powell scored her first goal in several games, and the Kodiaks managed to keep it interesting until the final whistle. Despite the fact that it was both "New Jersey Night" and "Fan Night", the Kodiaks came out flat in the first and second period, spotting the demons a 4 - 0 lead. |

The Kodiaks got back to .500 on the season with a win over the Predators. The Kodiaks have always played well against the Predators, and this night was more of the same. The Kodiaks
got off to a quick start scoring two goals in the opening minute.
Imre Knausz scored one of the two, and would add a second at
the end of the game. The Predators retaliated by scoring a
quick goal of their own, to make it 2 - 1 only 3 minutes into
the game. The score would remain that way until the second
period. |

The Kodiaks got the better if the Chili Dogs this week in a revenge match from early this season. The last time the Kodiaks and Chili Dogs met, the Kodiaks blew a 1 goal lead with 55 seconds left, and lost 4 - 5. That wasn't the case this time. You could tell the Kodiaks were hungrier for the win this week, and the final score would reflect just that. Imre Knausz
got the Kodiaks on the board first when he skated in against the
goalie, drew him out of the crease, and slid the puck past him
stick side. That covered all the scoring in the first period as
the teams faced off in a well matched game. |
