The
time has come for the 4th Semi-Annual Kodiaks
Open Golf Tournament. That’s right, it’s now a Semi-Annual
tournament. Why? Well, because Global Warming screwed up last years
tournament, that’s why. Maybe next year we’ll just go
back to calling it annual again, OK.
This is just an initial email to help you save the date(s), more
information will follow. The weekend we (the event planning staff)
are looking at is June 24th or 25th. That’s a weekend 3 weeks
from now. The most likely day will be Sunday the 25th. Plenty of
time for you to figure out if you are in or not, and plenty of time
to
iron
out
the
details.
The
10th
or
11th
is out
because it is too close to get any really planning done, I think,
and the 17th and 18th is Father’s day weekend so I figure we’d
try the next weekend.
There will be another tournament in the fall (Aug or Sept most likely,
but don’t hold me to it), so if you can’t make this one,
don’t get too upset. The location has not been determined yet.
It could be Twin Hills again, or maybe elsewhere if I get an overwhelming
response indicating a preference. The time is undetermined so far
too. Some courses have cheaper fees after 12 or 1 so that will most
likely be the time frame. I think our best bet is to all show up
at one time and then just pay and be in a block of 4 somes ready
to go off in order. The date can be either Saturday or Sunday depending
on people’s preference (Sunday probably?). The format is being
worked out. We will probably end up doing some sort of scramble,
but the final format could involve elements of a best ball scramble,
alternating shot, and best score per hole.
So what do you need to do? Reply back if you are interested, or if
you are definitely not so I can mark your name on the list. If you
have a preference of days Saturday or Sunday that will be taken into
consideration. If you have a course preference, that will be considered
too. We’ll try and make sure we get everyone invited, and get
more information out as it becomes available.
